Accessing the pool of all listings through the MLS is, by necessity, a huge part of how you do business. Updates and improvements to your primary working tool are critical, and the release of changes has to be approached in a way that gives you time to adapt and adjust.
The updated workflow of MLS 11 is designed to save you clicks and wasted effort, but learning how to take advantage of its improvements is a critical step in being ready for the switch-over. To this end SFAR started a series of trainings, webinars, and office visits to advertise the new features coming to MLS in October last year.
Continuing on from that, all members now have access to the new search, display and print workflow for the Rapattoni MLS system. You can turn on the new workflow by clicking on the banner that appears in the current MLS 10 system's grid/results display. The text says BETA: A new Listing Workspace, and you can click anywhere in that banner to try MLS 11.
Once you are using the MLS 11 Beta, you can always revert back to the current MLS 10 experience by clicking on the feature button (far right) to Leave Beta which will refresh the page for you. You can do this as many times as you need to, but we strongly urge you to get familiar with MLS 11 as it WILL BE MANDATORY by the end of March.
MLS 11 GUIDED PREVIEW VIDEO
On October 9th we did a guided preview webinar of the new MLS 11 listing workspace with two of the product experts from Rapattoni. In it we discussed the key features and benefits of the updated design, and went over our strategy for rollout. If you'd like to catch up on that, the recording is available on our SFAR YouTube channel - you can also watch the video inline right here:
ROLLOUT SCHEDULE
We completed a critical MLS 11 User Workshop on October 24, 2024 where we identified a set of key improvements that had to be made before launch. Those are rolling out now and the window for requesting changes has mostly closed. What you see now in the MLS 11 update is what it will look like at launch - now is the time to get familiar with it.
The mandatory cut over for all users is planned for March 31, 2025.
